That Harm The Marine Environment |

Responsible lobstermen replace damaged buoy
lines. This greatly reduces the number of lost
pots and the destruction of many helpless
critters. |

When boaters are aware and
alert, collisions with manatees and other
slow swimming or floating marine critters can be
avoided. |

Permanent boat moorings reduce the destruction
of our coral reefs by eliminating anchor drag that
can break and destroy years of growth. |

Proper disposal and recycling helps prevent
products from reaching the sea and causing harm to
our playful friends. |

Fishermen replace
damaged nets to keep them intact. If sections of
netting become adrift, many marine species could
become entangled and lost. |

Balloons and jellyfish look a lot alike to a
sea turtle. Let's keep plastic bags and balloons
from our rivers, bays and oceans. |

SCUBA divers have a big responsibility to our
ocean environment and all it's critters. See if
you can list some harmful activities shown here.
There is a list posted
here,
but try to find them yourself before looking. |
